CANDIDATE FOR NY STATE SENATE
I am committed to keeping our communities safe, supporting education, and giving our future generation a home that they can afford, and be proud of. We lead the nation in people, moving out. It's an unacceptable statistic.
For too many of our children, living in New York is simply not a viable option, and enough is enough.
I will be a State Senator – For All of Us.
I am an advocate, a public servant, but most importantly: I am a mother. I have five beautiful boys and am very proud to have grown my family here in Central New York. My family and community are everything to me, and I want to ensure our kids grow up in a supportive environment full of opportunities and values rich in our American history.
I currently serve as County Legislator to the 6th Legislative District in Onondaga County, representing the towns of Camillus, Marcellus, Otisco, Skaneateles, and Spafford. I have proudly served as Vice President of the Skaneateles School Board of Education, a member of the Onondaga County School Safety Task Force, and volunteer for Vera House, Syracuse City Schools Reading Program, the Alzheimer's Association, the County's Council for the Environment, CNY Regional Planning and Development Board, and various other legislative committees.
My career has always been in journalism, working as a news anchor and investigative reporter. I have covered countless stories shedding light on the issues that deeply impact our communities. Balancing everyday life with parenting is a tremendously challenging task that I know many New Yorkers can relate to. Affordability, ensuring people can "make ends meet", and enriching our quality of life are all critical to my mission.
